Summer is here in practice, even if it is not quite June 21st yet! And with summer comes the annual free outdoor concert series at the Lake Harriet Band Shell, within easy walking distance from our house. In the years we've been living in this neighborhood, we have not taken nearly enough advantage of these concerts, but now that we have an outdoors-loving baby in tow, we are determined to go more often this year.
This past Friday evening while out on a walk around the lake, Leif was happy to stop on the hill overlooking the band shell for a while so he could get out of his stroller and enjoy a little milk snack while listening to the alternative/folk/pop/rock music of local artist
Jim Pellinger before continuing on toward home.
