Big stander

If Leif is ever getting restless on his tummy or his back, it's a pretty safe bet that one simple move will cheer him up: pull him up to his feet and let him practice standing for a while. He is still plenty wobbly and doesn't attempt to take steps or anything like that yet; I think he mainly likes the different view from being up that much higher off the ground. After he's standing, for added diversion, he also likes to bend over and try to pick stuff up (while still being supported by you, of course). This process used to remind me of those arcade games with remote controlled cranes that you use to try to pick up a teddy bear or some other large and unwieldy toy. The crane might succeed in lifting your coveted object a few inches into the air, but it would inevitably fall back onto the pile of toys within seconds. However, Leif's success rate has been steadily improving with practice; he could probably out-grab the video arcade crane by now!
