Leif does his final inspection to make sure all the straps are adjusted to his satisfaction before we install the new seat in my car

Big boy car seat
Leif was starting to seem a little cramped in his infant car seat, so we bit the bullet in late August and moved him into a "convertible" car seat (an odd name that I believe refers to the fact that you at some point "convert" it from rear-facing to forward-facing). This car seat cannot be removed from the car and toted around by hand or snapped on top of the stroller, so the days of the port-a-baby are over, sniff, sniff!
